Definition describes how your defined Centers are connected or separated. It shapes how your energy integrates internally, how you move through relationships, and where important conditioning patterns tend to arise.
When two Centers in your Bodygraph are connected by a complete Channel, meaning both Gates are activated, they form definition: a fixed and reliable flow of energy between them. Definition consists of the colored parts of your chart, the defined Centers and the Channels that connect them.
Definition type describes how these defined areas relate to one another. Are they all connected in one continuous structure, or divided into two, three, or four separate groups? This distinction has major implications for how you process information, experience relationships, and take in conditioning.
There are five possible Definition types: Single Definition, Split Definition, Triple Split Definition, Quadruple Split Definition, and No Definition, which applies only to Reflectors.
Definition is not about intelligence or capability. It describes how energy integrates internally. A Quadruple Split is not less capable than a Single Definition, but it often needs more time for separate areas of definition to synthesize experience before action.
One of the most practical effects of Definition is the speed of internal integration. As definition becomes more internally separated, processing tends to become less immediate. A Single Definition often integrates experience quickly and internally, while a Quadruple Split usually needs more time.
Processing Speed
This is not about intelligence. It is about the time required for information to move across your internal circuitry. Emotional Authority can add another layer of timing on top of any Definition type.
Single Definition and Triple Split are often more aware of conditioning through their undefined Centers. These are the areas where the mind can be pulled away from what is consistent and reliable.
Split Definition and Quadruple Split are often especially sensitive to bridging gates between separated areas of definition. This can create a strong attraction to people who temporarily connect what is internally split. Recognizing those bridging mechanics can be useful, especially in relationships.
Each Definition type creates a different experience of internal integration, relationships, and conditioning. Understanding your Definition is one of the most practical ways to understand how your chart works.
All Centers Connected
One continuous circuit. All defined Centers are connected with no gaps. Processes quickly and internally. Self-contained and not dependent on others to bridge a gap. Most conditioned through undefined Centers.
Two Separate Groups
Two defined areas that are not internally connected. Small Split experiences a narrower gap, while Large Split involves a wider separation. Drawn to people who bridge the split. Often deeply shaped by relationship dynamics.
Three Separate Groups
Three separate areas of definition, each with its own integrity. Benefits from variety, movement, and exposure to multiple auras rather than one fixed bridge. Often more conditioned through undefined Centers than through bridging.
Four Separate Groups
The rarest Definition type. Usually found with eight or nine Centers defined. Highly fixed and internally segmented. Often benefits from time, space, and a small curated circle rather than intense or constant interaction.
Reflectors Only
Exclusive to Reflectors. No defined Centers at all. Completely open to the conditioning field and highly sensitive to environment. Designed to sample and reflect rather than operate through fixed internal definition.
Learn about Reflectors →Your Definition shapes how you experience connection and what kinds of relational dynamics feel familiar.
Does not tend to seek completion through others. Relationships are more about sharing, resonance, and companionship than filling an internal gap.
Often drawn to people who bridge the separation between two defined areas. This can create powerful attraction and a sense of being completed by the other.
Usually benefits from variety and movement through different people and environments rather than one person serving as the bridge for everything.
Often benefits from a small and specific relational field. Not one person, and not the crowd, but a more selective network that supports multiple areas of connection.
